Going to The Fair

On the way to the fair!
These guys mean business when they mow hay!

NAPPI is a result from the treat sign at "The Long Walk"
It keeps getting bigger.

The hay is irrigated, so are all the other crops. Its is canal down from the Navajo Lake.

The next picture are at the fair!

A Bunny Hop

The kids had to hop like a bunny up to and touch a bunny then hop back.

This was my favorite so I took 2 pictures.
Maybe my next quilt! Maybe I will even keep it for myself!(ya right)

It was a small county fair but it was what a fair is to be. Animals, Crafts, John Deere, and Food!

Update on the Green headache!

Mark and I are now calling the house, on the mission that is being done over, the Green Headache! Some don't play well with others. So please keep this project in your prayers.
Keith and Gerimaiha adding on to the little porch for the washer and dryer.

Keith being Keith!

Gerimaiha is doing community work. Not because be got into trouble. He is going to college and the Tribe will pay for it but he needs to do some community.

Yes, when Keith is helping it is level.

Mark is helping too, but he is the one who took time out to take the pictures!
And as you can see these two are not the one who "Doesn't play well with others."

This next pictures are of Gerimiaha 's little baby boy Anthony.

Mark still has the touch!

Maybe I do too!

Saturday Night Cook-out

Keith giving the Thumbs-Up to our Chiefs!
Ad is manning the ribs!
Mark is manning the chicken!
A gust of wind came and made to much fame.
It got a little smokey, but it is a cook-out!
Being in New Mexico no cook-out is complete with out green chilies!
The second shift!
Eddie in the hat, his father is the one who built the Adobe we live in.
Keith is the one who made the fire pit they are using!

Green Chilies, Bar-B-Q Chicken, Bar-B-Q, and Coffee!
What Fun!
What A Sunset!
That is one of the things Mark and I really love about out here!

With a picture likes this I had to take 2!
A little later!

Fun was had by all!
Lots of stories & laughs!

After the cooking - Time to enjoy the fire!

August 15, 2012

Last year on this date I helped my Mom and Dad do 3 bushels of corn. Mark and I had planned to take a vacation to Alaska since the year 2012 we had some things to celebrate. One being married for 30 years on January 30. But as you know sometimes we ask God for some thing but, he has other ideas. Like going into mission work and finding your self in New Mexico with the Navajo!

The other celebrations you will have to do the math. Coming from PA, which was the 2nd state to join the USA.(So back in 1976 when USA celebrate 200 years old so did PA) and now living in a state who this year is celebrating its 100 years as a state. On August 15, I turn half as old as the state of New Mexico! And where do we go, but to the Aztec Ruins(is there a joke in this).

We also went to Durango,CO and had a nice lunch at Gazpacho. We didn't think we would get to Durango because the mission truck is in need of new tires. God work it out, the night before Duane and Diane handed us the keys to their Jeep.
What a birthday "Durango in a Jeep"! What more could you ask for!

Last year I was having a hard time with what age I would be this year. I prayed about it because I didn't want to be negative about it. Here is how God answer my prayers!
1) Our home church this years theme is the year of Jubilee(and the Church is not 50 years old)
2)We ended up in a state who is 2x my age this year
3) August this year has a blue moon(you only turn this age once in a blue moon!)
4) I know there will be more to come!
