One Year Ago Today

One year ago today, we flew into Minot, ND to start our adventure.

We sure didn't know what God had in store for us. God was in control and we had faith in Him.He also had our trust. I would say that our faith and trust in Him has multiplied many times over this past year.
Today when I was reading the devotion from Jesus Calling, I felt I should share it with you. (remember she writes as if Jesus is talking to you):
January 5
You can achieve the victorious life through living in deep dependence on me. People usually associate victory with success: not falling or stumbling, not making mistakes. But those who are successful in their own strength tend to go their own way, forgetting about Me. It is through problems and failures, weakness and neediness that you learn to rely on Me.
True dependence is not simply asking Me to bless what you have decide to do. It is coming to Me with an open mind and heart, inviting Me to plant My desires within you. I may infuse within you a dream that seems far beyond your reach. You know that in yourself you cannot achieve such a goal. Thus begins your journey of profound reliance on Me. It is faith-walk, taken one step at a time, leaning on Me as much as you need. This is not a path of continual success but of multiple failures. However, each failure is followed by a growth spurt, nourished by increased reliance on Me. Enjoy the blessedness of a victorious life, through deepening your dependence on Me.

Psalm 34: 17-18;    2 Corinthians 5:7(NKJV)

We have had our problems and heart-aches in the past year, both back home and where God has us. At times I know it was attack from the evil one. Other times I know it was a trial. But God was with us in all situations, our trust, faith and hope is in Him. We also had our success, our miracles and we give God the glory for those.

I am glad we are letting God lead the way. If we hadn't we would not have ended up in New Mexico, we would not of been able to help one ones we have.

We would not have drawn closer to God as we have.

Yes, we will have success and failures and make mistakes, but we are victorious because Jesus was invited to plant his desire in us. We need you to pray for us in both our success and our failures. Pray for us in our attacks from the evil one and through our trials. Keeping praying for miracles.

We don't know where God is sending us next or when!

Thank you God for a great year!
