All Caught Up....I think

I think I'm all caught up now. Again sorry for the delay in posting, it was kinda out of my control.

Update on Napi!
No Napi is not dead! But sleeping very uncomfortable.
I sure would have a stiff neck if I tried that.

Thank you for your prayer and financial support.
Lord willing, I will keep you posted.

No Internet but .....

When I finally made it home to New Mexico. I went to check email and do some blogging, well it is a little hard to do the blog when the internet kept going out. So I just gave up until it was fixed. Guess what, today it is working, over a week with out it. But who knows for how long.

I'm glad God is not the internet we can trust Him to be there for us at all times. He has also given us many promises that we can stand on.
One of His promises we can see!

There is just no word that would do this picture justice.
God is Good!

Grandkids

While I was home I got to see the Grandbabies, I sure miss them. They didn't know I was coming. I had fun surprising them. I also got to surprise my kids too.
 Caleb had to get glasses!
 My Jessie Emma!
Rachel was happy to see me but wanted to know where her pappy was!

What is PA without bologna sticks!

They make the time pass when we are waiting for mommy.

We had fun in the little time I had.
Being away from family is the hardest thing about doing what we are doing!

Sorry for the Break

I didn't not expected to take this long of a break. I will try to get you caught up on things. The post will be backward to how things happen and it is to mind blogging for me to try to do it any other way.

January 19, my sister got married in Pennsylvania. Between her and my brother they got me to go home for it.

What a flying trip, one thing I learn a week is to short.
Next are some pictures of the wedding.
 Mary Lee and her dress

 She had 5 different soups!
Also potato rolls, corn bread, and pretzel rolls.
This was her cake!
Mary Lee's granddaughter Autumn Grace
Autumn's brother Chase
Mary Lee's grandson Noah
Her youngest grandson Jasper

 The Pastor and the Groom(Darryl)
No, Mary Lee wasn't running away!
She thought it would be nice to have both our dad and her son, Ammon, to walk her down the aisle.

Between Mary Lee and Darryl they have 9 grandchildren!
So that is where I was January 16 - 22. But poor Mark he had no water, the pipes froze. The morning I left we had -8 degrees and some of the electric was off for most of the day. The electric is not normal on the mission, here how it was in our Adobe. The lights worked in all room(all 3) the plug-ins in the bedroom did not,  some in the kitchen did and some did not. There was no electric for the pump to pump the water.
There still was no water at our house when we flew in on the January 22, so I went home with Merrill. Mark came and got me January 24 the water had thawed.

Used Clothes, Cookies, Coffee, and Donuts

What does used clothes, homemade cookies, coffee, and homemade donuts have to do with each other? It means one very busy week and one busy Saturday. I will tell you. The mission was blessed with two very large donation and alot of smaller donations of clothes before Christmas. Praise the Lord! Before we left for Christmas vacation in Arizona the plan was to open up the gym on a Saturday, January 12, 9:00am to 4:00pm. We plan to set up tables and lay out the clothes on them. We would also have coffee for the people too. Well, Mark and I thought this might be a good time to make homemade donuts, to share with our Navajo friends. In case we couldn't keep up we also made cookies. All week long I was sorting clothes. Not everyone donates appropriate clothes and I have found out over the months we have been here, that Khaki pants and corduroy don't go very well, if at all. I also sorted to have men's, ladies, teen boy's, Jr. girl's, children boy's, children girl's, and babies. The clothes that are dirty, holes, not appropriate, stain, etc, we pass on the blessing to Good Will. Nothing goes to waste.
Friday night Mark made 4 batches of his no-bake cookies and I made a double batch of choc. chip with peppermint candy. We also pulled 3 things of cookies I had frozen.
 Saturday morning up at 6:00am
Time to make the donuts!

Over a week of sorting, thing start to get a little blurry!

 Shoes!
 And more shoes!
 Coats!
 And more Coats!
 Clothes!
And more clothes!
Some of the tables were filled 2x!
 My helper Bonnie!
 My other helper Mary Lou!
 Bonnie's husband Ralph
AD came to visit.
 Three trays of cookies!
 Back to the donuts!
 Glazing the donuts!
No, safety was not the reason Mark fried them here. Besides I don't think the fire extinguisher is up to date! We just kept flipping breakers, where we had planned on frying the donuts.

We had a good turnout. everyone was happy with the clothes they found. They enjoyed the cookies, donuts, and coffee.
God is Good!
