Power

We were not sure how to fit power into the things we are learning, experiencing, and taking pictures of.

Then it hits us!  All the beautiful scenes, all the natural wonders, have been designed and created by the power of our God!  The landscape, terrain, climate, and even lifestyle are all very different from what we are used to.  Every time I see something new, I thank God for what He has made.  One day when we were seeing some amazing land features, I realized, if Mark and I had not listened to the Lord, we would not be out here seeing this and experiencing what He has planned for us.

The next pictures are on the road to Albuquerque, NM.

God has the power to break down walls, including culture walls.  God is opening doors for us with Mark and I just being ourselves.  We know God used many different ways to tell us "When He calls, He equips."

Mark's friend, Tyler, and his wife, Shirley.  Mark knows the Navajo word for "friend" but can't spell it and many Navajos have difficulty spelling it as well.  Navajo is a "spoken" language and has only been "written" in the last 60+ years.

Keith and his "grandchildren".  In our culture, he would be their great-uncle, but because their parents aren't living and neither is their grandfather, in the Navajo way, he is now their grandfather.

Mark was taking pictures and Keith said, "What about me?"

Keith is making a fire pit for AD.

Keith being funny again!

AD giving his mean look.  He lives on the mission. He is a very nice guy, he has a heart for the youth to know Jesus.

Also we have gone to a funeral.  We are also invited to 2 different weddings. We are making new friends when God calls us to.  It is by His power we can do this!

Jesus shows us how to depend on God's powerful Word when we are tempted to sin.
